Malt Whisky

A true Scottish experience is also not complete without savouring a whisky or two in our lovely little Cocktail Bar, with its light hearted charm and intimate character. With a quite sensational selection of over 100 single malts, the Cocktail Bar, with its glowing fire, has enough to please even the greatest of connoisseurs, and can make for an interesting evening of tastings. The wonderful peaty flavours from Islay can be compared against the more mellow Malts from the Highlands and Lowlands.

And of course – before, or after, discussing and tasting a few drams, why not visit a distillery to see just how this 'water of life' is produced. The nearby Grampian Malt Whisky Trail is world renowned, featuring a superb range of quite excellent visitor centres. Guided tours are available throughout the day at most giving you a chance to see, first hand, how whisky is made, from the grist to the cask! Popular gift shops at the visitor centres usually sell an attractive range of Distillery products and related Scottish gifts.
