Less
than an hours drive is Loch Park Adventure Centre, near Keith,
which specialises in water-based activity programmes all on
one site, and offers opportunities for people of all abilities
to enjoy adventure safely. Wet and wild activities include canoeing,
kayaking and gorge-walking. Dry but daring activities include
archery, ropes and projects.
Their staff, who hold national governing body certificates,
are experienced in working with people with a disability,
and have been commended by national organisations on their
ability to give people an introduction to adventure
Aberdeen Watersports
Aberdeen's longest established Dive Centre, which can take
you from your first steps in Scuba diving all the way to PADI,
DAN, IANTD and TDI Instructor courses.
The ONLY centre in Scotland to offer all this along with
Medic First Aid Instructor and all Instructor Trainer courses.
Peterhead Watersport Centre
Based at the Lido, Peterhead the North East's only all year
round watersport activity centre offers dinghy sailing, kyaking
yachting and powerboat training on one of the safest pieces
of coastal water in the region.
They run everything from an introduction to sailing to racing
and advanced courses on a range of boats including Toppers,
Wayfarers, Lasers, a Dart 18 and a yacht. The centre is approved
by the RYA and all its courses and boats are RYA approved.
