Here
is a little 7 day mixed touring and activity holiday we have
put together for you to demonstrate just how much you can see
and do when you come to Udny, and why your time with us will
be too short!! Day 1
Arrive at the hotel, chill out, unwind, relax over a leisurely
dinner and perhaps a few local malts. Get a good night’s
sleep ready for the next day. Day 2
Get into the ‘spirit’ of the area with a whole day
‘Whisky and Castles’ tour. Castles and some of the
Castle Trail in the morning, distilleries and the Malt Whisky
Trail in the afternoon perhaps. Or a mix of both all day!
Day 3
A day ‘on foot’. Perhaps a round of Golf in the
morning at Cruden Bay (or a ‘warm up 9 holes at St Olaf
in the morning followed by 18 at Cruden Bay or Royal Aberdeen
in the afternoon). Alternatively help us choose a sensational
Moray Coastal walk for you. For the more adventurous –
the great Alpine Adventure Centre at Garthdee. Day
4
A leisurely day tour will take you to Royal Deeside, Cairngorm
National Park and Aviemore, a lunch stop at Boat of Garten,
followed by Inverness and perhaps a bit of Loch Ness, then east
along the Moray Coast (and some dolphin watching) via Nairn
and Cullen before heading back to the hotel. Day
5
Country sports for the men, shopping for the ladies. Ladies
visit Aberdeen in the morning, followed by some lunch en route
to lovely highland shops of Ballater in the afternoon. Gentlemen
– a day’s river fishing or shooting we’ll
organise. Day 6
We recommend two great car tours – either south-west then
north via Ballater to Tomintoul and the Lecht, then onward to
Grantown, Nairn and the Moray Coast all the way to Fraserburgh
and the little fishing villages and back – or south along
the Grampian Coastal trail, taking in a bit of the Victorian
Heritage Trail, on to Dundee, the City of Discovery, Kirriemuir,
home of Peter Pan for a late lunch – then west to join
the Glenshee and Braemar road all the way back via Royal Deeside.
Day 7
On your last day it’s your choice. Another round of golf
perhaps, this time at Glorious Royal Aberdeen or Cruden Bay
(whichever of these great courses you haven’t already
played) – or the lovely championship course at Murcar.
Real adventure with local Tank Driving! Nature watching on the
Ythan Estuary and bird sanctuary. The railway museum at Alford?
Or something from the days above you didn’t do? Then a
compllmentary local dram of malt, before a sumptuous Taste of
Scotland farewell dinner. Day 8
A hearty Scottish breakfast and a fond farewell. Haste ye back! |
