	According to TF Jamieson - the pioneering 19th century geologist who discovered an ancient settlement on the estuary - folk have been enjoying the excellent salmon, sea trout and shellfish since prehistoric times. Toady it may be enjoyed at its freshest and finest in our forvie room.

Witness the Bistro, a paradise for gourmands and bon viveurs.The River Ythan, and the gentle hubbub of conversation are the backdrop to this split level dining room, where diners enjoy our renowned cuisine, prepared with the finest local produce.

As you might expect of a hotel so blessed in its setting - seafood is a particular speciality. Before dining, guests may linger over the menu and an aperitif in our relaxed Cocktail Bar where, at lunchtimes, we serve delicious home-cooked bar meals.
